Maaco to Celebrate 50th Anniversary at 2022 Convention

Maaco franchise owners will be gathering Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov.18 for the 2022 Maaco convention in Carlsbad, Calif., to celebrate Maaco’s 50th anniversary.

Maaco franchise owners will be gathering Tuesday, Nov. 15 through Friday, Nov.18 for the 2022 Maaco Convention in Carlsbad, Calif., to celebrate Maaco’s 50th anniversary. The convention is a four-day event filled with motivational speakers, a vendor trade show, leadership messages, charitable events and educational opportunities. Following a three-year hiatus, it’s also an opportunity for the network of over 400 Maaco owners to connect with one another to share ideas and best practices.

Carlsbad, Calif., will serve as the backdrop for the 2022 Maaco Convention.

“We are exceedingly thrilled to finally be able to host our convention after a three-year-long hiatus,” said Chris Dawson, president, paint and collision for Driven Brands. “However, this time away has not stopped our Maaco family and they have been working diligently, achieving their best sales year ever in 2021 and building on this iconic brand to make it better than ever. We cannot wait to provide the opportunity to celebrate our network’s accomplishments in sunny California this November.”

Within the Maaco network, there are several family-run businesses, which has historically made the Maaco convention a coveted family-friendly moment. Many husband-and-wife teams, multi-generational owners and even business families who form MSO groups come together and enjoy the event together. For those family members, Carlsbad is a beautiful location with small-town charm, sandy beaches, outstanding shopping and luxury restaurants.

The 2022 Maaco convention agenda is filled with four days of education, engaging discussions networking opportunities, a charity golf tournament, a charity fall festival and an awards gala.

The convention will kick off with a welcome party for all attendees to reconnect and network in person for the first time in three years. The second day will include general sessions with messages from Maaco’s senior leadership team, giving insights in the areas of strategy, analytics, marketing, training, operations, a live panel and a message from keynote speaker Mike Anderson of Collision Advice.

“Maaco may be better than ever, but we’re not stopping here,” said Dawson. “We’re going to continue building on our strong foundation so our franchise owners can thrive for another 50 years to come.”
