MCR Safety Donates $50,000 in Safety Glasses to Collision Repair Education Foundation

Donated glasses and goggles will be distributed to collision school programs across the country and utilized when students return for their fall school semester.

MCR Safety has donated more than 26,000 pairs of safety glasses and goggles to the Collision Repair Education Foundation. The donated glasses and goggles, valued at nearly $50,000, will be distributed to collision school programs across the country and utilized when students return for their fall school semester.

“We protect people and are proud to contribute our safety eyewear to support the efforts of the Collision Repair Education Foundation,” said Glen Herald, chief operating officer of MCR Safety. “MCR Safety globally manufactures and distributes safety gear marketed as MCR Safety, Memphis Glove, Crews, River City and US Safety. We are hopeful our contributions to the students will foster safety awareness throughout their careers.”

Added Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode, “On behalf of the thousands of collision students that this donation will assist and help keep them safe within their collision school programs, I would like to thank MCR Safety for their continued support. This in-kind donation will be one to remember, and it was awe-inspiring to have a semi-truck deliver 15 pallets of the donated glasses and goggles. As collision school instructors continue to face shrinking program budgets, this type of donation helps free up additional funds that can now be utilized elsewhere within their collision program.”
