I-CAR has awarded Chris Knepler of Zara’s Collision Center in Springfield, Ill., the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Knepler, an estimator for Zara’s, serves on I-CAR’s Springfield Committee.

The award is based on Knepler demonstrating a sustained commitment to volunteer service and meeting the requirements needed to receive national accreditation as measured by the number of service hours performed over 12 months. The award also recognizes Knepler for setting the highest standards for service, encouraging commitment to civic contributions, and inspiring others to make service an integral part of their lives.

I-CAR President and CEO John Edelen said, "The time and commitment put forth by Chris and the Springfield Committee are invaluable. As a not-for-profit organization, I-CAR depends on the support and dedication of its volunteers to strengthen the I-CAR vision. We are honored to grant Chris the award."

"Service and quality are the two vital elements for our customers, and Chris is outstanding in both areas," said Brad Zara, owner of Zara’s Collision Center. "We applaud Chris for serving on the I-CAR committee and are honored for him receiving this distinction."

I-CAR Director of Field Operations Jeff Peevy said, "We are extremely proud to recognize Chris with the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
