Babcox Media, Inc., is pleased to announce that Mike Maleski has joined the company as associate group publisher.
Mike joins Babcox from The Plain Dealer – Ohio’s largest daily newspaper serving the Cleveland area. During his three-year tenure, Maleski served as vice president, Sales & Marketing for The Plain Dealer and its news and information website, Cleveland.com. In this role, he had management responsibility for the sales team’s print, data, social media and digital selling initiatives. Prior to The Plain Dealer, Maleski served as vice president, Digital Sales, Marketing & Operations for the Cleveland Cavaliers. While with the Cavs, Mike directed the effort to commercialize the organization’s web properties, social, mobile and email platforms.
In his new role, Maleski will report to Jim Merle, group publisher of the Tech Group portfolio of brands, which includes Brake & Front End, ImportCar and Underhood Service. “Mike will bring a wealth of print, digital and social marketing expertise to Babcox Media,” said Merle. “His significant experience and proven track record will be a great fit, supporting our dedication to providing impactful products and value to readers and advertisers.”
