The Grand Forks Herald recently ran an article about steering by insurance companies, quoting a local body shop owner from Moorhead, Minn., who is fed up with the illegal tactic.
Lloyd Van Raden, owner of Lloyd’s Auto Body, is against DRPs, the article stated, because he said they encourage collision repair facility owners to take shortcuts or use inferior parts.
“It is what it is and it’s always going to be,” Lloyd told the Grand Forks Herald. “We’re never going to fix this, but we can try to let the public know they’ve got rights.”
