Mitchell’s UltraMate 7 Now Prints Estimates in Spanish

Mitchell International, Inc., announced that UltraMate 7, an estimating product for both insurers and collision repairers, can now generate estimate printouts in Spanish, which Mitchell says will improve the collision repair experience for Spanish-speaking customers.

According to a 2007 study conducted by the U.S. Census Bureau, there are currently 35 million residents in the United States who speak Spanish in the home. In the Southwestern states of California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, approximately one in five people speak Spanish as a primary language. The prevalent use of the Spanish language can present challenges to many shop owners, insurance staff and independent appraisers who currently spend a great deal of time explaining estimates written in English to Spanish-speaking customers, a process Mitchell says can be improved by UltraMate 7.

Miguel Garcia, estimator for Hourglass Collision in Tulsa, Okla., who has a significant amount of experience with Spanish-speaking customers, said being able to print Spanish estimates will save him about 20 minutes per estimate.

UltraMate 7 offers all administrative headings and part names in Spanish. The service is provided as a free value-added option, Mitchell says.

Customers can learn more about how to print out estimates in Spanish upon receiving their August updates by viewing the UltraMate 7 “What’s New” document on Mitchell’s support Web site, www.mitchell.com/go/printspanish.
