MPI Selects Mitchell TechAdvisor for OEM Collision Repair Data

Mitchell International, Inc., announced that Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) — one of Canada’s largest insurers — has selected Mitchell TechAdvisor for its source of real-time collision repair reference data for all of its service centres. Mitchell’s comprehensive online portal will give MPI estimators access to industry-leading OEM repair procedures along with the latest parts prices and labor times from a single source.

"MPI chose Mitchell for OEM collision repair data. The solution enables our estimators to quickly and accurately access real-time repair reference information on late model vehicles, which is extremely important given complex designs that can pose unique estimating and repair challenges. By leveraging Mitchell’s comprehensive repair data and up-to-date parts prices, our estimators will have all the necessary information at their fingertips to make data driven, accurate estimating decisions in a timely manner," said Ted Hlynsky, vice president, Claims Control & Safety Operations, Manitoba Public Insurance.

"Mitchell is pleased to take our long-standing partnership with MPI to the next level. With the adoption of Mitchell TechAdvisor, MPI demonstrates its commitment to the new world of claims processing — one where increasingly complex and high-tech vehicles demand real-time online access to OEM repair data and procedures," said Mike Jerry, vice president and general manager for Mitchell’s Canadian operations.

"In addition, the inclusion of mechanical parts data in TechAdvisor helps ensure that newer vehicles, with their increased complexity and accompanying risk of mechanical damage, are returned to pre-accident condition as quickly as possible," added Jerry.
