N.J. Coast Guardsman Receives Pontiac G6 as Part of NABC Recycled Rides

Keenan Auto Body, Inc., a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), was one of 150 collision repair providers throughout the country who took part of the 2010 Recycled Rides program. The Pontiac G6 sedan refurbished by Keenan was donated to Seaman Drew J. Tyree of the U.S. Coast Guard. Tyree was chosen through Liberty USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey.

Recycled Rides is a community awareness project whereby NABC participating shops receive insurance company donated vehicles, repair them and recycle them to families in need through local charities.

“We chose Liberty USO for the second year in a row due to their process of picking a deserving recipient," said Craig Camacho, Keenan’s marketing director.

State Farm Insurance Co. donated the 2005 Pontiac G6 to Keenan’s South facility located in Chadds Ford, Pa. LKQ Corp, Keystone, DEL Chevy, Concord Towing and Paul Joslow videographer also donated time and the parts needed to make this years program a success.

“This was our fourth successful year being part of Recycled Rides, and our staff couldn’t be more dedicated," said Mike LeVasseur, Keenan Auto Body’s VP and COO. “This year the Pontiac G6 was one of 150 simultaneous vehicle donations throughout the country and the goal of 500 really seems within sight.”

Liberty USO’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of the U.S. Armed Forces personnel and their families worldwide and to create a cooperative relationship between U.S. military communities and involved supporting civilian communities.
