The International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) announced it will be one of the sponsors of the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS), scheduled for May 16-18 in Barcelona, Spain. NACE, the flagship event of Automotive Service & Repair Week (ASRW), is co-located with the Congress of Automotive Repair & Service (CARS) and is scheduled for Oct. 6-8 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
IBIS, founded in 2001 by Bodyshop Magazine, has become firmly established as a leading global conference for collision industry leaders, thinkers and influencers and annually attracts approximately 300 of the collision industry’s executives, who gather to identify and address the challenges currently facing the industry. The theme for IBIS 2011, 20/20 Vision, encapsulates the symposium’s purpose of providing informed insights into the issues that will be driving the market between now and the end of the decade, organizers say.
"NACE and IBIS share many common goals of uniting the collision industry, which makes this new partnership a logical next step in the evolution of both events," said Ron Pyle, ASA president and chief staff executive. "We value the key international audience and opportunities an event like IBIS provides, and ASRW is pleased to be included as an official partner among an elite group of the collision industry."
As a sponsor, NACE receives international visibility and marketing exposure among IBIS attendees, publishing partners and other sponsors. Additionally, NACE plans to hold a press conference on-site at the event.
NACE Chairman Ron Nagy will attend IBIS as this year’s recipient of the Russ Verona Memorial Scholarship.
