The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has released its 2011/2012 Auto Insurance Database Report, according to Property Casualty 360°. The report includes calculations for average annual auto insurance premiums for all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The report comes on the heels of an Insure.com data analysis that was released April 13.
The report uses data obtained from statistical agents during the years 2008-2012.
The national average auto insurance premium, according to the report, is $927.58. The state with the highest average premium, according to the NAIC report, is New Jersey with $1,334.54.
