New Hampshire Shops Offered EPA 6H Rule Compliance Workshop

On Feb. 12, the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association (NHADA) will offer a morning workshop for collision repair shops on both air and hazardous waste requirements.

March 11, 2011 is the certification deadline requiring all auto body shops to be in compliance with the new EPA air emission rules. The workshop will review the requirements of this new rule, including how to file a petition of exemption.

Recent DES surveys have shown many auto body shops in violation of hazardous waste rules. Some shops are not managing waste paint, waster thinner and waste paint filter in accordance with New Hampshire environmental regulations.

Owners, operators, managers or anyone responsible for environmental compliance at auto body shops is invited to attend this workshop at the NHADA in Bow, New Hampshire.
