The New York State Consumers’ Right to Repair Act of 2011 (S. 129) was recently introduced by Sen. Jose R. Peralta. It was referred to the Committee on Consumer Protection. The New York legislature is scheduled to convene on Jan. 5, 2011.
The bill seeks to give independent repair shops access to OEM repair information that supports claim can be difficult and expensive to obtain.
