OEConnection LLC (OEC), a technology employer in Northeast Ohio, was recognized during the 9th Annual Best of Tech Awards ceremony in downtown Cleveland. Established by OHTec and the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), the Best of Tech Awards recognize innovative companies and products in the region. The Best of Tech Awards is part of OHTec’s Tech Week, a series of events, panels and forums aimed at promoting and advocating for technology companies in Ohio.
OEC was selected as Tech Company of the Year for 2015 in the Large Company category, alongside 1EDI Source, which was honored in the Small Company division. Other finalists include LeanDog and Dakota Software. OEC was also a finalist for Best Software Product for its RepairLink Shop solution. OEC provides web-based solutions which facilitate the buying and selling of Original Equipment parts between Original Equipment Manufacturers, distributors, dealers, repair shops and consumers.
“It is gratifying to receive this prestigious award,” said Chuck Rotuno, OEC president and CEO. “Since the company’s formation in 2000, we have been driven to be the top technology employer in the region and this recognition affirms our success. This award would not have been possible without the commitment of our talented associates, and will help us share the OEC success story with technology prospects across the region.”
“OEC is such a prominent, impressive company; they’re really helping transform Northeast Ohio,” said Brad Nellis, executive director of OHTec. “We’re very proud of all of their accomplishments and growth and very proud to have the chance to recognize their success.”
