PartsTrader announced that it has surpassed the one billion dollar mark in net order volume since the tool launched in February 2012.
Germain Honda of Dublin, Ohio, managed the repair job on a 2015 Acura RDX that moved PartsTrader past the milestone of $1 billion in confirmed part orders. Scott Jurs, PartsTrader’s local field sales manager, contacted Germain Honda to notify them of the milestone and purchased lunch on Nov. 25 for the shop’s employees to commemorate the occasion.
PartsTrader user Bri Gingrich created a new repair order on Nov. 6 and sought quotes for a rear bumper, rear lamps and lift gate. In less than a minute, a quote request was on its way to a network of parts suppliers in the Columbus, Ohio, metropolitan area. When the quote window closed, Germain Honda had responses from seven different suppliers. After reviewing the quotes, JP Harris placed the order through PartsTrader to the selected suppliers whose parts best met the needs of the Acura owner and could deliver within a timeframe that suited the customer’s needs. Early on Nov. 7, the selected local supplier confirmed and shipped the replacement parts to Germain Honda.
“PartsTrader saves my team time every day because they no longer have to call different suppliers for parts,” said shop manager Joe Holt. “PartsTrader allows us to focus on getting the job done correctly and on time for the customer.”
Added Dale Sailer, PartsTrader vice president of business development,”We are pleased that Germain Honda has joined the ranks of PartsTrader customers who have chosen to use PartsTrader as their standard operating procedure for the procurement of collision parts within their business. One of our core goals is to save estimators time so that they can spend more time with their customers, and it’s rewarding to see those benefits being delivered.”
This milestone is the latest in a series of accomplishments the company has achieved in the last half of 2014. In August, the company processed its one millionth parts job since launch. In October, the company surpassed $100 million in monthly parts order volume, as well as processed more than 240,000 orders between repairers and suppliers.
