Rust-Oleum Donates Epoxy Floor Coating to Four School via Collision Repair Education Foundation

Rust-Oleum has come to the aid of four collision school programs in 2011 with epoxy floor coating product donations through the Collision Repair Education Foundation. Applied Technology Center (Rock Hill, S.C.), Bridgerland Applied Technology College (Logan, Utah), Irmo High School (Columbia, S.C.) and Lake Technical Center (Eustis, Fla.,) have all given their schools’ collision programs a new look thanks to Rust-Oleum.

"Thanks to Rust-Oleum for helping these schools, and we look forward to helping improve many more schools through their generous in-kind product donations," said Scott Kruger, executive director of the Collision Repair Education Foundation. "We have seen firsthand the difference a fresh floor coating makes to the overall appearance of a shop, and collision instructors have told us it helps make the collision program look brand-new afterwards and that the students have a new sense of pride in their work area and classroom."

"In today’s economy where the funding of educational programs is so challenging, we are proud to able to assist the programs that fall under the purview of the Collision Repair Educational Foundation," said Steve Gillman, vice president of Administration for Rust-Oleum. "We are humbled to know that the coatings we provide contribute to the pride that the students feel about their facilities and what they are doing."

Irmo High School Auto Collision Repair Instructor Phil Tanner said, "Our shop floor was in such bad shape. The floor was peeling in places and just looked bad because of everyday use. The donation from Rust-Oleum will not only make our floor look great but also instill pride in our students when they walk into their freshly painted shop floor. Thank you Rust-Oleum for your donations."

Lake Technical Center Auto Collision Repair Instructor David Beliveau said, "Receiving Rust-Oleum floor paint has made a great difference in the appearance of the Auto Collision shop at Lake Technical Center. When the floor paint first arrived, the instructors sat down with the students and asked for their assistance in applying the product. Every single student was very excited to assist with the project. Now the students take great pride in the way the shop looks and are happy to sweep and clean up each week. The customers who saw the shop before it was painted continue to remark on how nice and professional the shop looks. We have always been proud of our students and our facility, but the Rust-Oleum product has allowed us to take it to the next level."
