SCRS to Provide Free Education Sessions from SEMA Show Collision Repair & Refinish Stage

Education continues to be a priority for collision repairers at the upcoming SEMA Show, which opens Nov. 1 in Las Vegas, Nev. In addition to the Society of Collision Repair Specialists’ (SCRS) Repairer Driven Education (RDE) series, which runs each day of the show, SCRS has announced additional sessions that will be provided on the Collision Repair & Refinish Stage (North Hall #10873). Participation in these sessions will be free for all show attendees.

Tuesday

Wednesday
2-3 p.m. Charley Hutton Discussion and Q&A

4-4:45 p.m. A Riveting Experience – Structural Riveting and Bonding Techniques and Tools
Featuring: SCRS Education Committee

Thursday
10-10:45 a.m. Social Studies – A Panel Discussion on Social Media in Your Business
Featuring: Kristen Felder – CollisionHub; Frank Terlep – Summit Software and Mobile Solutions; Jonathan Barrick – Global Finishing Solutions; Jordan Hendler – Admin Concepts, Inc.

12-12:45 p.m. More Than One Way to Skin a…Door (procedures and tools)

Friday
1-1:45 p.m. A Riveting Experience – Structural Riveting and Bonding Techniques and Tools
Featuring: SCRS Education Committee

These sessions from SCRS are in addition to other free informational sessions offered by I-CAR and are delivered from the same stage. I-CAR’s preview sessions will include: Aluminum Intensive Vehicles Structures, Automotive Aluminum MIG Welding Equipment and Techniques, Advanced High-Strength Steel Structures Design and Repair, and Advanced Lightweight Vehicle Technology and Repair.

"Our Education Committee’s mission is to develop instructional content and materials that are used at SCRS meetings to better educate our membership in areas that will assist them in improving their business," said SCRS Education Committee Chairman Paul Val. "Having the SEMA Show as an added forum to communicate the information developed by the committee is a tremendous opportunity, and we are thrilled to add to the volume of information already available at this year’s show."
