The SEMA board of directors approved a new policy aimed at providing automotive parts manufacturers, particularly new manufacturers, with the opportunity to exhibit at the 2018 SEMA Show, the association said.
The new policy allows returning exhibitors with booth space less than 400 square feet to expand by 100 square feet per year (up to the 400 square feet), and returning exhibitors with booth space greater than 400 square feet to obtain the same amount of space for the 2018 SEMA Show.
“For many exhibiting companies, the SEMA Show is among the most important selling opportunities of the year,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of communications and events. “The booth-space policy promotes more diversity and provides a higher level of value for buyers.”
MacGillivray said that SEMA Show organizers are committed to providing all qualified manufacturers with access to the marketplace.
In addition to the new policy regarding booth space, organizers have heightened the screening process to ensure that buyers are meeting with qualified companies. The introduction of the new policy was made to accommodate the industry’s current growth rate and the number of new companies expressing interest in the show, the association said.
Companies that reserve their booth space at www.semashow.com/buyabooth before March 30 will be included in the priority booth-space selection, which begins on April 30. The three-week process allows exhibitors to select the actual booth location within the 1 million-square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center.
