Service King Announces Fourth Florida Expansion of 2015

Acquisition of Auto World Paint and Body in Jacksonville brings total nationwide store count to 241 in 21 states.

Service King Collision Repair Centers announced another step forward in its strategic growth plan with the acquisition of Auto World Paint and Body in Jacksonville, Fla.

Service King and Auto World mutually agreed upon terms of the partnership before closing the acquisition on June 19th. With the announcement, Service King now offers its repair service at three Jacksonville locations and 14 across the state of Florida.

“This is yet another step forward in our efforts to provide Florida customers first-rate collision repair service,” said Scott Ward, Service King regional vice president. “We couldn’t be happier to have a quality team like Auto World Paint and Body join the Service King family. This partnership will help provide Jacksonville residents with the very best in comprehensive collision repair services.”

Service King is one of the fastest-growing collision repair providers in the country, now with 241 locations in 21 states and plans for future growth. The announcement signals Service King’s fourth expansion in Florida this year as the Texas-based company recently acquired collision repair centers in Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa.

Auto World, owned and operated by Steve and Carla Horne, has provided the Jacksonville area collision repair services for more than 38 years. In 1986, the husband and wife team moved the business into its current 22,000-square-foot facility at 8929 Atlantic Boulevard.

“Establishing a partnership with Service King provides our staff with exceptional resources and benefits,” said Steve Horne. “I have every confidence that the business, and more importantly our teammates, are in great hands now and in the future as Service King continues to serve our Jacksonville customers.”

The Auto World facility provides Service King with the capacity of repairing 325 vehicles per month. For more information and to view a full list of Service King locations, visit www.serviceking.com.
