With the help of Interfaith Housing Coalition and The Republic Group, who donated a vehicle, Service King Collision Repair, a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), recently delivered a white Dodge Durango to the Okereke family in a ceremony at Service King’s West Fort Worth location as part of NABC’s Recycled Rides program.
“We are exceptionally pleased with the results of the project,” said Danny McKinley, Service King’s vice president of operations. “The vehicle was well received and all of our staff worked hard to make the donation a reality. The Okereke family was extremely grateful and we wish them a great holiday season. Hopefully, having this vehicle will brighten their lives and make it easier for them to accomplish the daily tasks most of us take for granted.”
Vendors GreenLeaf Auto Recyclers, LKQ Corp., North Texas Tire, American Auto Salvage, Metro Interiors, English Color and One Stop Mobile Solutions donated parts and materials to refurbish the vehicle.
“The event was a great success,” said Linda Hall of Interfaith Housing Coalition. “We’re proud to be a part of Recycled Rides. The family is just thrilled to have reliable transportation for their special needs child which has been so challenging on the bus. Service King Collision Repair did a great job getting the vehicle ready.”
