Service King Opens 10th Houston Store

Service King, the largest employee-owned collision repair company in the U.S., announced that its newest location is now open for business in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas.

The new Service King facility is the 10th Houston-area location opened for the collision repair company since 2009. The offices for the new 32,000-square-foot facility will be housed in a space that had previously been a restaurant, with the repair center itself located behind it.

The new shop has the ability to repair 450 to 500 vehicles per month, offers a concierge service, training centers to teach continuing education to insurance partners, an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location and offices for insurance adjusters.

“We’re thrilled to be opening a location in the Galleria area,” said Chris Abraham, vice president of Service King’s Houston market. “This is a prime location for us, and we were glad that we were able to use and redevelop an existing vacated building in the area. We really enjoy our customers and partners in the Houston market and we believe this is a great fit for Service King.”

The Galleria area location is led by manager Steve Feltner. Service King currently has nine other Houston area locations including Pearland, Baytown, Humble, Southwest Freeway, Kingwood, Copperfield, Spring, Katy and Tomball. Another location is set to open in Conroe in July.

Service King Collision Repair Centers was founded 35 years ago with one location in Dallas by owner Eddie Lennox. Now with 23 Dallas-Fort Worth locations, 10 Houston locations and 8 locations in San Antonio, Service King is the largest independently owned and operated collision center business in the U.S. Service King was recently named No. 1 in the 2011 Houston Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work in Houston” listing.
