Westwood One announced Service King Collision Repair Centers and its Mission 2 Hire radio spot, which aired during Westwood One’s coverage of Super Bowl 50, was voted the winner of its third annual Sound Awards, recognizing excellence in audio creativity.
Service King produced and aired one 30-second spot featuring a first-person narrative by Pasadena, Calif., service advisor and 13-year Army veteran Jeremiah Kuehl. Kuehl is one of nearly 100 military veterans recruited and hired by Service King as part of its ongoing Mission 2 Hire campaign seeking to provide career opportunities for veterans across the U.S.
In addition to being voted the No. 1 spot during Westwood One’s coverage of Super Bowl 50, Service King also scored top marks alongside Motel 6 and Wendy’s in a Nielsen Creative Study commissioned among 3,030 consumers who rated all 45 commercials on a series of attributes.
Service King’s Mission 2 Hire campaign, launched in May 2015, aims to hire at least 500 military veterans and spouses in five years. For more information, visit www.Mission2Hire.careers.
