Sherwin-Williams Announces Q1 2012 Training Schedule

Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes’ 2012 first quarter training sessions are designed for collision repair industry professionals seeking advancement and increased knowledge in their field. Courses will be offered Jan. 9 through March 30, 2012.

Shop owners, managers and painters can learn intensive business-building, production-excellence and application techniques through classroom, web and hands-on settings at numerous metropolitan Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes training centers located nationwide, the company says.

The following courses will be conducted in the first quarter including:
• Estimating solutions for profit
• Painter certification
• Color adjustment and blending
• AWX waterborne systems

According to Rod Habel, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes manager of training operations, many of the new classes directly relate to Sherwin-Williams’ philosophy of helping its customers through "lean thinking" – introducing concepts that support sustainable practices – which increases productivity while minimizing or often eliminating waste.

In particular is available training on the company’s AWX waterborne system.

Along with its productivity, application and certification classes, Habel notes that Sherwin-Williams will now be offering several classes available to the industry’s Spanish-speaking technicians.

Further details regarding the 2012 first quarter schedule for training centers, dates, specific course descriptions and locations can be found on the Sherwin-Williams website training page or by calling 1-800-SWULTRA (1-800-798-5872).
