Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes New Elegance Clearcoat Approved Globally by GM

General Motors has approved new 1100755 Elegance clearcoat from Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAF) on a global basis. The clearcoat has undergone extensive certification to meet the GMW15406 standard that General Motors sets to assure that vehicles repaired at its dealerships use automotive refinish products of the highest quality.

SWAF says Elegance clearcoat offers the ultimate in gloss for high-end refinishing, is designed for force-dry/booth applications and is recommended for use on multi-panel repairs or overall finishing.

“We’re pleased that General Motors has recognized the Elegance clearcoat as a premium clearcoat solution,” said Jason Crager, SWAF OEM business development manager. “Along with our HPC15 and HPC21 clear products, we believe Sherwin-Williams offers some of the fastest and highest quality clearcoats allowing collision centers to increase productivity and profitability while saving energy costs."
