Sherwin-Williams Latest Sponsor of BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference

The excitement continues for the 2009 BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference as another company, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, has agreed to sponsor the event aimed at educating collision repairers about low-VOC basecoats and the environmental regulations that will mandate their use.

“When we first learned about the waterborne conference, we knew it would be critical to take a leadership role and commit our resources to this great event,” said Brian Shenk, director of marketing services for Sherwin-Williams. “It’s especially exciting to see how many shops want to make the change to waterborne basecoats even in geographic areas that don’t yet require them to do so.”

Seven other companies to date have chosen to exhibit at the conference to also promote their various low-VOC basecoat equipment and product offerings: CEG, FinishMaster, Garmat, Matrix System, SATA, UniCure and Valspar.

BodyShop Business Publisher Scott Shriber has been very encouraged by all the support so far.

“We are very excited to be able to provide our readers and the industry with this opportunity to gather information all in one place on a topic that will have such a significant impact on our industry and environment,” said Shriber.

Registration is filling up fast, so collision repair facility owners should act now to take advantage of the early-bird special pricing of $49.95, which is only available until June 1. Call (330) 670-1234 ext. 234 or visit www.waterbornefacts.com.

Also, there are still plenty of sponsor and exhibitor opportunities available. Call Doug Basford at (330) 670-1234 ext. 255 ([email protected]), Don Hemming at (330) 670-1234 ext. 286 ([email protected]) or John Zick at (949) 756-8835 ([email protected]) for more information.

The 2009 BodyShop Business Waterborne Conference will be held Aug. 13-14 at Sawmill Creek Resort in Huron, Ohio.
