Keenan Auto Body of Middletown, Del., the largest of Keenan’s eight repair facilities, has been awarded the EPA’s Design for the Environment certification. Among other environmentally friendly practices, the shop is powered by a solar power system.
“We built our Middletown shop from the ground up and designed it to be a green operation, so we are very proud to have received this prestigious certification and would like to thank Joe Mattus of Mattus Pro Finishes for conducting the audit,” said Keenan Vice President and COO Michael LeVasseur.
Keenan has recently been honored by the governor’s office after installing the state’s largest solar installation of its kind, along with converting to waterborne paints.
Founded in 1952 by Joseph T. Keenan and acquired by his son Donald in 1979, the family-owned collision center is one of the largest of its kind in the Northeast region.
