S/P2 Introduces New Interviewing Course For Automotive Students

Course complements the S/P2 automotive school courses, helping instructors prepare their students for the interview process.

S/P2, a company that offers online safety and pollution prevention training to the automotive service and repair industry, has launched a new course, “Land That Job: Interview Skills for Automotive Students.” The course complements the S/P2 automotive school courses, helping instructors prepare their students for the interview process.

“We really saw a need to prepare students in career and technical education for more than just technical skills, safety training or environmental awareness,” said Kyle Holt, S/P2 president. “For many of these automotive students, their next interview may be their first. Whether students are preparing for upcoming SkillsUSA competitions or looking for their first job, this course can help them excel. The interview process is crucial to landing jobs in the automotive industry.”

Covering the interview process in three parts – before, during and after – the course features key information automotive students need to know to interview well. From researching the company and questions they may encounter, to what to wear, what to say and appropriate ways to follow up, this 25-minute course helps students feel confident and prepare using best practices. After passing the course, students will receive a certificate of completion.

“When second semester starts, many automotive instructors are busy prepping students for state and national competitions, as well as the end of the school year,” Holt said. “This course aligns with automotive instructors’ curriculum so they can ensure their students are prepared for those competitions and – more important – prepared to enter the workforce.”
