State Farm has announced three training sessions in August in New Jersey for its Select Service shops. The training is meant for shop owners, technical managers, estimators, “A” technicians and unibody frame repairers. Chief Automotive Technologies and Car-O-Liner will be at the events offering training, discounts and other information about their products.
State Farm said the training sessions, which are not mandatory for Select Service shops, are meant to address changes the company and shop owners have noticed.
“All manufacturers are dramatically increasing the amount of high-strength/ultra high-strength steels and are making significant process changes to incorporate advanced metals, such as dual phase steel and boron steel into the vehicle structure,” estimating team manager Vince Castaldo said. “This is greatly impacting the training, equipment and OEM repair recommendations necessary to properly repair the modern vehicle.”
The sessions will be held:
Aug. 19, State Farm Operations Center, Parsippany
Aug. 20, Brookdale Community College, Linwood
Aug. 21, Camden County College, Blackwood
