STRANGE BUT TRUE: Driver Brings Van to Shop in Her Sleep
Sometimes, business just falls into your lap, but in the case of an Aurora, South Dakota, body shop, it crashes into your tow truck.
On the morning of Nov. 25, a 38-year-old woman fell asleep behind the wheel of a minivan while driving down Broadway Street, the main drag through Aurora. When the van eventually crashed, it wasn’t far from help it hit a tow truck parked outside of Aurora Auto Body & Glass, the Brookings Register reported.
“Business just seems to come our way,” a shop employee joked to the newspaper while surveying the damage.
The woman was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Damage to the minivan was estimated at $1,500, and the tow truck suffered about $1,000 in damage. The van’s owner, who was not driving, was later cited for not insuring the van.
