STRANGE BUT TRUE: Naked Drunk Driver Hits 17 Cars, Narrowly Misses School Bus

The man left a line of cars with broken windshields and smashed-up sides in his wake, but nobody was seriously injured during his spree.

A naked and drunk driver in Moscow, Russia, sped through a downtown area on Oct. 31, crashing into 17 cars before the police stopped him, Reuters reported. Police chased the man across a large part of the capital before he was stopped.

"When police made him open his door, it became clear he was completely naked," state TV reported. According to Reuters, the man left a line of cars with broken windshields and smashed-up sides in his wake, but nobody was seriously injured during his spree.

The man, who appeared to be in his 40s, was from Moldova. Local TV stations showed a picture of him grinning in the back seat of a police car. Reuters reported that preliminary tests showed he had an "abnormally high" level of alcohol in his system.

"The most dangerous part was when he almost hit a bus full of school children," a police spokesman told a local TV station. Four of the vehicles hit were police cars.
