Nationwide, Team PRP partner facilities are generously participating in a myriad of charitable activities throughout the holidays.
Among these is the strong involvement in a “Trees for Troops” program by Wilbert’s Inc., a second-generation family automotive recycling business located in upstate New York that also boasts an 100-plus acre Christmas tree farm as a side business. Trees for Troops provides fresh trees to military personnel in the U.S. and overseas. The Wilberts have donated trees and assist hands-on with the program locally.
Lewisville Motor Company Inc., a PRP member in Winston-Salem, N.C., has a broad range of charitable activities in progress, but is currently focusing on its local “Marine Toys For Tots Foundation” project, as seen in Lewisville’s latest 15-second commercial, currently being aired on local television.
In Phoenix, Ariz., Team PRP partner Riteway Auto Parts has been very active in donating gifts for local children and families in need. In addition, they made a sizable donation to benefit special needs children through a local Shrine Center program. Their donation was made possible by creating an innovative program at Riteway, dubbed “Give A Brake To Those In Need,” in which brake rotors and drums, made of cast iron with a high ferrous content, were collected separately and then sold to be recycled, with some of the proceeds being donated.
“Our partners have always shown tremendous generosity, and we are extremely proud to see such dedication and charity amongst our members, especially at this time of year,” said Stacy Bartnik, Team PRP’s executive director.
