Two CARSTAR Employees Honored for Corporate Service

CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts annually recognize the top corporate employees during its annual National Conference, and this year has selected two corporate team members for the top honors.

CARSTAR CEO David Byers honored each winner on stage and presented their award during the annual awards ceremony on Sunday evening.

Spirit of CARSTAR Award

The “Spirit of CARSTAR” award recognizes the team member with a positive, upbeat, “can-do” attitude throughout the year; willingness to take on additional responsibilities; ability to go above and beyond their daily jobs; sense of humor and pleasantness with co-workers; who tries to do an extraordinary job each and every day and always puts the interests of the franchisees and CARSTAR at their heart, the company says.

This year’s winner is Melissa Stevens, brand manager for CARSTAR. Stevens joined the company in 2007 and has daily management of CARSTAR’s national and local market advertising and communications activities.

“When it needs to get done, Melissa is the person to count on,” said Byers. “She brings creativity, resourcefulness and great implementation to building our stores’ brands and businesses.”

Future of CARSTAR Award

The “Future of CARSTAR” award honors the employee who provides positive contributions to CARSTAR’s systems and functions that will serve the company into the future; has the ability to see an area where improvement is needed and works independently to find a solution; consistently contributes on different teams to solve problems and implement solutions; and actively engages with co-workers between departments to develop solutions that will meet everyone’s needs, the company says.

This year’s winner is Melissa Miller, senior regional service manager. Miller, who celebrates her seventh year with the company in October, grew up in the CARSTAR family, as her father and uncle own Randy and Bob’s CARSTAR in Chicora, Pa.

“Melissa Miller’s outstanding performance and ‘can-do’ attitude demonstrates that she is someone we can count on now and in the future,” said Byers. “The phrase ‘I can’t’ is not in her vocabulary."

“It is an honor to be able to work with such remarkable team members as Melissa Miller and Melissa Stevens,” said Byers. “They truly are role models for all of the employees in the CARSTAR system in the passion, commitment, creativity and excellent work product they bring to CARSTAR.  We look forward to their many contributions for years to come.”
