Valspar Automotive has introduced the latest addition to its waterborne refinish product platform with the De Beer WaterBase 900+ series. This new system features 13 additional mixing colors that have higher coverage and require fewer undercoats than the current system, according to Valspar, providing increased productivity and cost savings to the body shop, while meeting global VOC compliance regulations.
“The launch of the De Beer WaterBase 900+ Series further signifies Valspar’s focus on developing car refinish products that provide the high quality expected of a leading brand but at a value to our customers,” said Jeff Potter, global marketing director, Valspar Automotive. “In fact, with this system, our customers can achieve a 20 percent increase in coverage versus our current 900 system and experience up to an additional 10 percent in savings over the leading brands, on average.”
The current De Beer WaterBase 900 series toners will still be supported and maintained until the 900+ technology fully transitions into the remaining mixing colors, according to Valspar.
This system complements Valspar Automotive’s existing line of products, such as the Valspar Refinish Low VOC system and the House of Kolor Shimrin2 Low VOC custom finishing product line, that are geared toward meeting air quality standards, the company noted.
