Vehicle Service Group (VSG), whose brands include Chief Automotive Technologies, Elektron and Rotary Lift, among many others, hosted the trade press at its global headquarters in Madison, Ind., on Sept. 25.
Editors from Canada and the U.S. got a better understanding of VSG, which is part of Dover Corporation and consists of nine brands for light and heavy-duty vehicle lifting and storage lift equipment solutions, and vehicle collision repair system applications.
The group also experienced a sample of Chief University classroom training on collision dynamics and computerized measuring, which touched on the increasing complexity of today’s vehicles and the importance of measuring a vehicle’s structure before repair (entire vehicle), during repair of multiple points, during parts replacement and the finished product (entire vehicle).
A final treat was live demonstrations of a Chief Impulse E/VHT frame rack and LaserLock multi-point scanner system, and Elektron Multispot MI-100 Control T spot welder.
