VeriFacts Automotive has presented its annual Coach of the Year Award to Don Peers, a 39-year veteran of the collision repair industry from Nebraska. Peers is an ASE Master Certified technician, has earned his AAM (Accredited Automotive Manager) from AMI, is a member of both the I-CAR and Nebraska Auto Body Associations Halls of Fame and is an active I-CAR instructor. The award was given during the annual VeriFacts Coaches Conference held in Detroit.
“It’s a pleasure to work with Don, and he exemplifies all the makings of a great coach," said Mark Olson, COO of VeriFacts. "He has been coaching with us all over the country and Canada for a number of years. He understands the technicians, and is patient with them when needed and tough when he needs to be. He has the uncommon ability to push technicians to their limit without breaking them, leaving them truly empowered. He truly brings out the best in people, and it shows in the development of the technicians that he coaches.”
Also honored at the VeriFacts Coaches Conference was George Szabo, who was presented with the Rookie of the Year award. Szabo has 38 years of experience and a master’s degree in collision repair from Hungary, not to mention special training from Mercedes Benz and Celette.
