Volkswagen Audi Group has approved Hunter’s HawkEye Elite alignment system for use in its workshops worldwide.
Hawkeye Elite uses four precision cameras to measure the position and orientation of targets mounted to each wheel using Hunter’s patented QuickGrip adapters. QuickGrip adapters feature spring-loaded Quick-Change arms that grip the tire, eliminating metal-to-metal contact and possible rim damage.
Hunter and Volkswagen Audi Group have had a strong relationship since the 1970s, when Hunter first developed customized workshop equipment to meet Volkswagen’s needs. In 2004, Volkswagen approved Hunter’s DSP600 sensors, becoming the first German automaker to approve digital imaging alignment sensors.
