Wedge Clamp Systems, Inc. has announced the opening of the largest Wedge Clamp installation in the history of the company at Jim Marsh Chrysler Jeep’s collision repair facility in Las Vegas. At 44,000 square feet and 78 total bays, the facility is one of the largest of its kind in the world.
“We have the most advanced equipment there is on the market. We have a lot of things nobody has in town. We were first to have a state-of-the-art laser measurement system, which is accurate to within two millimeters of factory specs," says Shop Manager Jerry Bailey. "And the new shop has a Wedge Clamp pulling system (44 bays) embedded in the floor that’s the largest installation of that type in the world.”
Developed originally in the 1980s by a large collision repair shop to
maximize floor space, Wedge Clamp collision repair systems are
specifically designed to increase shop efficiency by allowing
technicians to complete all structural repairs and finishing sheet
metal work in one single repair bay. The systems use wall-mounted storage, so bays are freed up for other services when the systems are not being used.
