WIN to Hold Virtual Event on Benefits of Membership

The event will educate prospective members on WIN and new members on how to get more involved in the organization.

The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) announced it will be sponsoring a virtual event titled, “The 411 on WIN,” on July 14 from 1-2 p.m. EST. The event will educate prospective members on WIN and new members on how to get more involved in the organization.

“Join us for this special look at how WIN works, what we’re up to and ways you can engage with our organization,” said Liz Stein, secretary of WIN’s Executive Committee. “We’ll also be announcing our 2021 annual conference location. Our current board will host this online event and looks forward to seeing you all then.”

Added WIN Chair Cheryl Boswell, “We are thrilled to see WIN membership and support continue to grow and programs expand. We encourage women and men in Canada and the USA to increase their professional network and become a WIN member. WIN’s mission is to drive industry sustainability by developing women through education and connections.”

“Benefits in serving on a WIN committee include helping build your leadership abilities and confidence,” said Stein. “It’s an opportunity to get involved and meet other professionals in team-building sessions that give back to our membership as well as the industry. Tuesday’s session will be an informative event where we hope to educate prospective members about the features and benefits of joining WIN, but also encourage existing members to become more involved, thus helping expand their careers and networking capabilities.”

WIN features several committees that are available for members to serve and increase their networking and leadership skills:

  • Board of Directors
  • Conference Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Governance Committee
  • Marketing Committee
  • Membership Committee
  • Nominating Committee
  • Most Influential Women (MIW) Committee
  • Scholarship Committee
  • Outreach Committee
  • Sponsorship Committee
