Zap Away Static with the Stat-Gun

Zap Away Static

New Stat-Gun plugs right into the existing air supply, discharging a powerful ion stream that neutralizes the car’s electrical charge as it clears away dust.

Stat-Gun’s microprocessors and tungsten emitters deliver an ion stream that electrically neutralizes surfaces to be painted. Battery power eliminates cable and lasts for up to 12 hours of continuous use.
Stat-Gun’s microprocessors and tungsten emitters deliver an ion stream that electrically neutralizes surfaces to be painted. Battery power eliminates cable and lasts for up to 12 hours of continuous use.

Used in lieu of a regular blow gun, the new Stat-Gun plugs right into the existing air supply, discharging a powerful ion stream that neutralizes the car’s electrical charge as it clears away dust. On a surface cleaned by a Stat-Gun, annoying and unsightly halos – common when trying to color-blend metallic paints – all but disappear. It also reduces or eliminates the need to de-nib the last painted coat, because particles lie flatter on an electrically neutral surface instead of standing up – reflecting more light and creating a brighter, shinier surface. Static-charged plastic surfaces, like grilles or bumpers, can push paint out of tight recesses and force the painter to overload or leave some surfaces uncovered. The Stat-Gun’s neutralizing capability frees the paint to flow into every nook and cranny for a more complete, professional-looking finish. It saves money by saving the extra step, time and materials of anti-static wiping. Plus, it’s certified safe, meeting the European ATEX approval for Class 1 flammable areas, including spraybooths.
