It’s Time for NACE/CARS!

The big show is at the end of this month, so start planning your trip to the Motor City today.

Well, it’s time to pack our bags and head to our very own collision trade show. Yep, NACE/CARS is here for 2014. I have to tell you that I’ve been involved in much of the planning, and I can assure you that ASA has developed and organized a show to remember. I urge you to go to the website (www.nace expo.com) and see all the great events and educational opportunities to participate in. Detroit will be the collision mecca July 28-Aug. 2.

From a professional standpoint, the educational offerings are unbelievable. Whether you’re looking for technical know-how, industry trends, business procedures or the latest repair techniques, it will all be available in Detroit. The support from the automobile manufacturers this year is nothing short of incredible. If it’s in our industry, you can learn about it there.

If you’re looking to kick back and enjoy a big city, there’s lots for you to do. Downtown Detroit is home to the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings and Pistons, as well as many other local attractions. Our friends, the Canadians, are just across the river in Windsor with all that they have to offer and see. The city is in the middle of a renaissance, and you owe it to yourself to come and see all that it has to offer.

If you’re a car person, what more do I need to say? This is the Motor City – Telegraph, Woodward, The Rouge, the Fisher Building and on and on. The Saturday schedule is so full of activities to do, you couldn’t get it all done if you stayed the following week. Just take a look at the “Places to Go” on pg. 66 and you’ll see what I mean.

There are over 6,000 collision repair shops within a four-hour drive; this is the place to be in late July. It has been a long time since our show has been here in our neck of the woods, and we should all get together and see what’s new. Our entire team will be on hand, and we look forward to seeing you there and talking about the industry.

See you in Detroit!

Planning, thoughtful implementation and thorough tracking of results will deliver a successful philanthropic program that also delivers a return on investment.

Almost everyone knows the old adage, “Doing well by doing good.” For our team, that isn’t just a slogan — it’s part of the fabric of our business.

Many collision repair shops do philanthropic programs during the holidays, which is great, but we look at giving back as part of our year-long strategic business plan. It helps connect us with the community every month and gives our customers another reason to choose CARSTAR for the highest-quality collision repair.
