CARSTAR St. Thomas, Ontario, Under New Ownership

Multi-CARSTAR store owners Mike and Liz DeRuiter will take over for George and Donna Fischtner, who are retiring.

After 17 years of owning the St. Thomas, Ontario, CARSTAR store, George and Donna Fischtner are retiring. Multi-CARSTAR store owners Mike and Liz DeRuiter are taking the helm of the St. Thomas facility.

Kyle Holmes, who has been with CARSTAR St. Thomas for more than 10 years, will assist with the transition as the new acting manager of the facility.

“I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work for the St. Thomas community, and continue to bring the quality and service that has become expected at CARSTAR St. Thomas,” Mike DeRuiter said. “Being with CARSTAR for over 13 years has us fully prepared to manage this new facility, and continue doing what we love most.”

Robert Jasper, CARSTAR’s regional development manager for Southwestern Ontario, said the DeRuiters “have been very successful in CARSTAR Strathroy [Ontario], building a reputation as a reliable and kind collision repair provider. I know the DeRuiters will do excellent things for the St. Thomas area, and cannot wait to celebrate their success at CARSTAR St. Thomas.”
