A.B. Warehouse Hosts AkzoNobel’s 2012 ‘Evening with Wanda’ Season Launch

A.B. Warehouse of Montreal hosted AkzoNobel's Wanda Brand's 2012 "Evening with Wanda" event season premier in late January.

A.B. Warehouse of Montreal hosted AkzoNobel’s Wanda Brand’s 2012 "Evening with Wanda" event season premier in late January.

The event also marked the first anniversary of A.B. Warehouse becoming the first Canadian warehouse distributor to carry Wanda Waterbase, the brand’s VOC-compliant refinish system. The agreement was celebrated one year ago with an Evening with Wanda event to help A.B. Warehouse customers learn about the waterborne system’s simplicity, color and value brand proposition.

"The timing of our partnership with A.B. Warehouse in 2011 was pivotal, following Canada’s recent market shift to low VOC compliance. The Canadian collision repair industry readily welcomed the Wanda Waterbase system because of its exceptional ease-of-application, color match capabilities and value pricing," said Mark Rapson, AkzoNobel’s Business Manager of Trade Brands, North America. "A.B. Warehouse’s strong reputation and impressive distribution network will continue to help propel the growth of the new system throughout the provinces, and the January event was a great way to do just that."

More than 30 area distributors and jobbers attended the Evening with Wanda event and were treated to refreshments and a special anniversary cake featuring the "Wanda" illustrated character. In addition, the brand’s live Wanda spokeswoman emceed the evening’s festivities.

The Lingenfelter Performance Engineering LTA concept car was also showcased at the event, sporting the custom Wanda Orange Mocha paint finish. Guests were then invited back the next day to attend a complimentary application demonstration of the Wanda Waterbase system at the A.B. Warehouse training facility.
