Oil Filter Crusher Goes Green

Ranger Products' new RP-20FC Oil Filter Crusher applies – in just about 20 seconds – 10 tons of pure, air-operated pressure to just about any used oil filter, reducing it to 25 percent of its original size and removing 95 percent of the oil.

ranger-can-crusherRanger Products’ new high-powered RP-20FC Oil Filter Crusher applies – in just about 20 seconds – 10 tons of pure, air-operated pressure to just about any used oil filter, easily reducing it to 25 percent of its original size and removing 95 percent of the oil. The X-shape bevel in the press head pre-aligns filters for an absolute vertical press, so even the popular eight-inch-tall filters for Cummins and Power Stroke diesel-powered vehicles fold beneath its massive force. With an integrated collection chamber and collector downspout for simple oil recovery, this no-mess design operates clean and efficiently to significantly reduce spill hazards. And at the drastically reduced size, oil filters are both easier to store and cheaper to dispose of, which encourages proper waste management. The door on the RP-20FCS also doubles as a fail-safe device that ceases all operations the moment it’s opened. It also has a transparent monitoring window, so the process can be inspected by the operator and the full effect of 20,000 lbs. of applied pressure can be visually appreciated. An optional stand is also available from Ranger. Made from rugged steel, it easily fits a 5-, 16- or 55-gallon drum beneath, while the RP-20FC Oil Filter Crusher sits on top.
