SUN Collision to Launch Repair Package Solution at SEMA

SUN Collision Launches Repair Package Solution at SEMA

The Repair Package solution is designed to streamline blueprinting processes, enabling fast and accurate estimates.

SUN Collision, a leader in collision and mechanical repair information, has announced the launch of a revolutionary Repair Package solution designed to streamline blueprinting processes, enabling fast and accurate estimates. The cutting-edge feature will be showcased in the Snap-on booth (no. 32017) at the SEMA Show Oct. 31-Nov. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

“We look forward to meeting with SEMA attendees and demonstrating this exciting new feature within our SUN Collision Repair Information software,” said Chris Bonneau, business manager for SUN Collision. “The Repair Package helps automate the laborious blueprinting process, providing comprehensive documentation to support estimates and insurance claims. It represents a huge time-saver for service writers/estimators, allowing them to produce a fool-proof repair plan in seconds, eliminating the need for manual data entry.”

With a few clicks, users can create a comprehensive repair package that incorporates all essential repair procedures, intricate illustrations, diagrams and all the required OEM part numbers. It seamlessly integrates with shops’ estimating systems, centralizing repair information and estimating data to enhance the user experience.

The Repair Package leverages industry-standard guidelines established by the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA). These standards provide a common language and framework that facilitate the seamless exchange of data between collision estimating systems, insurance companies and various other key stakeholders involved in the repair process.

To create the Repair Package, SUN Collision software sources CIECA data for the estimate. When users click on an estimate line item, SUN Collision presents information for known part numbers and other details, allowing for manual searches to fill in any missing information. The end result is a comprehensive work package spanning 100 to 1,000 pages, available in both printed or PDF formats with hyperlinked table of contents.

In addition to showcasing the Repair Package, Bonneau and other SUN representatives will be on hand at the booth to discuss other innovative features within SUN Collision Repair Information software that can help technicians address the challenges of repairing today’s complex vehicles. This includes quick links to ADAS information, making it easier to diagnose, repair and calibrate ADAS-equipped vehicles. Everyone who participates in a demo will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet S9 with a military-grade cover.

SUN Collision provides comprehensive OEM repair information and procedures for body and frame, paint and finish, and materials for all makes and models. The software’s database is kept current throughout the year with ongoing updates and repair information for the latest model year vehicles. Subscribers automatically receive new information as it becomes available, giving them the most current repair data to reference.
