CCC Information Services (CCC) announced that American Honda Motor Co. has selected the CCC Parts technology as its collision parts e-commerce solution for the company and in support of its dealers in the United States.

In-market testing of CCC Parts with Honda and Acura dealerships resulted in strong increases in OE collision parts sales, according to CCC.

CCC Parts is powered by the CCC ONE platform, which creates a single connection between OEMs, insurers, collision repairers and third-party providers to interact and transact across a variety of use cases, including new vehicle and parts sales, repair management, telematics-enabled claims and usage-based insurance, and safety insights, according to CCC.

“CCC Parts is an e-commerce solution that makes it easy for dealers and repairers to present, sell and source parts as repair estimates are being written within CCC ONE, reaching thousands of collision repairers every day,” CCC said in a news release. “CCC Parts offers valuable add-on solutions, allowing OEMs to present promotional pricing upfront during the estimating process, and to customize pricing by geography, vehicle make, model, year or part type. All parties benefit from streamlined and more efficient parts ordering, and shops get the added benefit of having their parts ordering process in one system, creating efficiency in parts quoting and back-end invoice reconciliation.”

CCC works with more than 24,000 collision repair facilities in the United States for estimating, parts ordering and shop management functions, according to the company.

“Honda and Acura genuine collision parts are the only choices designed and tested for proper fit and crash performance by American Honda, and it’s critical that collision repairers see that they’re also price-competitive,” said Bruce Smith, senior vice president for American Honda’s Parts, Service & Technical Division. “CCC’s reach, along with the ability to put a promotional price upfront, are game-changers with better and more targeted results than we’ve achieved in the past. The dealers we tested with love it, and their repair facility customers love it as well. We are so pleased by its performance and CCC’s commitment to our partnership, that we have decided to make CCC part of our marketing strategy for the company and our dealers nationally.”
