I-CAR Posts 2015 Ford F-150 Collision Instruction Sheets to Repairability Technical Support Portal

Fifty-one repair instruction sheets provide important detailed instructions on part removal and installation procedures.

I-CAR has announced that 51 collision repair instruction sheets, just released by Ford for the now launching 2015 Ford F-150, are now available on the I‑CAR Repairability Technical Support (RTS) Portal. The 2015 Ford F-150 collision repair instruction sheets provide important detailed instructions on part removal and installation procedures for front rail (apron tube) installation, pillars and rocker panel installation, roof and roof rail installation.

Provided directly to I-CAR from Ford, this is the first vehicle manufacturer to release comprehensive instruction sheets of this scale to the collision repair industry through the RTS Portal.

“As we speak, the new, aluminum-intensive 2015 Ford F-150 is coming off the assembly line,” said Jason Bartanen, director of industry technical relations for I-CAR. “It is important for collision repair professionals to have the information readily available to repair this popular vehicle made with new materials. Working with Ford to provide this information out via the RTS Portal improves industry access to the information required to support complete, safe and quality repairs.“

For more detailed collision repair information on the new 2015 Ford F-150, I-CAR offers its 2015 Ford F-150 Structural Repair (FOR06) course. FOR06 is a six-credit hour, instructor-led course that covers material-specific training and highlights the unique processes associated with aluminum repair of the Ford F-150. I-CAR also offers its Aluminum Welding and Training Certification program (WCA03), which prepares welding technicians and repair facilities for the unique welding requirements associated with this vehicle.
