Mentor, Ohio-based DCR Systems (www.dcrsystems.net) has reached an agreement with Gallery Automotive Group (www.gallerygroup.com) in Norwood, Mass., to convert its existing body shop to DCR’s patent-pending, lean-based collision repair process. This agreement preceded DCR’s exclusive arrangement with Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A.
DCR took over operations of Gallery’s existing shop on Jan. 6, 2009 becoming responsible for managing day-to-day operations and supplying equipment, tooling, staffing, technician training and certification.
“Our unique operating model fits well with the parent company’s thought process,” says DCR President and CEO Michael Giarrizzo, Jr. “Gallery’s brand loyalty and customer focus is a natural fit for our operating model, which is driven by customer value.”
Once the conversion is complete, Gallery Collision Center will utilize DCR System’s operating model, which is structured to drive predictable, dependable repair quality, high-level customer satisfaction and greater owner retention.
“Our decision to partner with DCR Systems centered around the customer, which is what DCR’s operating model is all about,” says David Spiegel, vice president of Gallery Automotive Group. “DCR offers a better way to get the job done and will enable us to produce a better quality product with a faster turnaround. Having DCR Systems manage our operation will enable us to enhance our overall customer offerings and, ultimately, increase customer satisfaction and retention.”
DCR Systems offers Toyota dealers both turnkey collision repair outsourcing as well as collision repair licensing opportunities. DCR currently manages collision center operations for three U.S. Toyota dealerships.
Gallery Automotive Group, owned by Marubeni Corp., has been serving the Massachusetts market for more than 35 years and is comprised of BMW Galley Norwood, BMW Gallery Norwell, Mazda Gallery Norwood, Volkswagen Gallery Norwood and Honda Gallery North Reading.
