2009 Scholarships Available From I-CAR Education Foundation

The I-CAR Education Foundation has five categories of grants available this year to help career and technical school and college collision repair programs, school collision instructors and students pursuing a career in the collision industry. This scholarship is funded by the I-CAR Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign.

The scholarship opportunities available this spring include:

• I-CAR Education Foundation School Curriculum Grant
• I-CAR Education Foundation Instructor Qualification Workshop (IQW) Grant
• I-CAR Education Foundation Student Scholarship
• I-CAR Education Foundation School Maintenance Grant
• The Lon Baudoux Legacy Scholarship

All grant applications are available online to download at www.ed foundation.org. The applicant criteria are included within each application. All entries must be received by the I-CAR Education Foundation by April 15, 2009. Winners will be chosen in May 2009 and notified by mail and phone.

“The scholarships and grants we are offering this year are important to the future of the collision industry,” said Scott Kruger, I-CAR Education Foundation executive director. “They help remove financial barriers to collision education for students and help collision schools provide the most thorough and modern training needed by the industry. Our goal is that future entry-level collision technicians have the skills and experience necessary to immediately become productive, efficient, and committed workers in collision repair facilities.”
