AkzoNobel’s Mike Shesterkin Named Keynote Speaker at 2012 I-CAR/CIC Luncheon

Mike ShesterkinMike Shesterkin, AkzoNobel Automotive & Aerospace Coatings (A&AC) manager of sustainability and business process improvements, has been named keynote speaker for the 2012 I-CAR Industry and Collision Industry Conference (CIC) event program luncheon on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas.

Shesterkin is one of several individuals within the global AkzoNobel family charged with championing and supporting the key initiative of sustainability. He has specifically been tasked with leading efforts which encourage the advancement of sustainable business practices into the collision repair industry’s corporate dialogue. His message to the nearly 500 expected luncheon attendees will be, “Beyond ‘Green’: Sustainability & Collision Repair.”

“I’m honored to have been asked to share this message with the leaders of this industry,” said Shesterkin. “The awareness of the need for sustainable business practices is growing daily and is being discussed at the highest levels of corporations and governments. Leaders from all sectors of the collision repair industry will be present for this program. My hope is that they will come away with a solid connection to the principles of sustainability and the impact that practical application of these principles can have in making their businesses more profitable.”

The I-CAR and CIC events are held during the week of July 16 at the Hyatt Regency Riverwalk in San Antonio. Coinciding with these events, AkzoNobel will host the annual FIT Sustainability and Most Influential Women (MIW) Awards banquet on July 19, as well as the second annual AkzoNobel Sustainability Leadership Symposium on July 20.
