National Auto Body Council Now Accepting Reservations for Golf Fundraiser

Event scheduled for Jan. 15, 2014, at the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort in Palm Springs, Calif.

Reservations are now being accepted for the National Auto Body Council’s (NABC) annual golf fundraiser, scheduled for Jan. 15, 2014, at the Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort in Palm Springs, Calif.

The annual fundraising event is one of NABC’s major sources of funding to support its ongoing programs to promote the image of the collision industry. In addition to its Recycled Rides program, NABC also offers two other community service programs: First Responder Emergency Extrication (FREE) and the Distracted Driving Initiative.

The golf fundraiser is being held in conjunction with NABC’s board meeting the previous day, Jan. 14. All golf event participants are welcome to attend the open meeting.

In addition, the NABC will be giving away a Recycled Ride to a local Palm Springs family in need. The vehicle is donated by presenting sponsor Hertz.

Individual entry fees are $175 or $650 for a foursome. Each registered foursome can also sign up for a hole sponsorship for an additional $100 donation. Entry fees include breakfast prior to the 10 a.m. shotgun start, post-tournament buffet reception, prize package drawings and awards ceremony.

"We urge anyone who is a stakeholder in the collision industry to join us in supporting the work of the National Auto Body Council by participating in this golf fundraiser,” said David Merrell of PartsTrader and Domenic Brusco of PPG, co-chairs of the NABC fundraising committee. “What better way to establish new or strengthen existing relationships than by getting together with peers and colleagues in a fun, relaxed environment, with a common goal to promote programs that benefit our collision industry?”

A number of other opportunities are still available for participants to highlight their businesses – including sponsorships for beverage carts, the driving range, putting green and others. Businesses are also welcome to donate prizes, raffle items or gift items for tee bags.

Interested golfers and sponsors are encouraged to register as soon as possible for this fundraiser, which has traditionally been a sold-out event.
