New York Body Shop Owner Wins $2.9 Million in Lottery

A New York body shop owner is $2.9 million richer ($1.9 million, if he takes the lump sum) after finding a forgotten lottery ticket in the center console of his truck a month after he bought it.

Jerry Ritieni of Extreme Auto Body Repairs bought a handful of tickets on July 19 and, instead of putting them in his pocket, threw them in his truck. A month later, he found them, checked them and discovered the big news.

The 47-year-old father of two plans on securing his children’s future with the winnings.
